Twenty years ago, the Fernandez Salguero family - a multimillionaire couple and their little daughter, Clodine- went on a lovely trip together. On their way back from their holidays, tragedy struck when the family’s jet broke down and crashed in the middle of the forest.
The only people who survived the accident were The Benitez –the family’s servants-, their own little daughter and Clodine. They, knowing that Clodine had now been left orphaned, decided to abandon her alone in the forest, return to the city and give their own daughter, Lorena, to Amanda Fernandez Salguero, making her believe the girl was her real granddaughter.
Twenty years later, the false Clodine has grown into a very superficial and arrogant little woman, surrounded by fortune and luxury. But her life will change completely when the most unexpected news breaks through: a young woman known as "The Girl of the Jungle" has managed to survive in the forest for twenty years and was raised and protected by a group of monkeys. Amanda, really moved by the news, decides she wants to meet this mysterious girl, now named Asai, and sends for her.
From that moment on, the Benitez will do their best to prevent their big secret from being unveiled. Not only will Asai and Clodine share their past, but they will also fight for the love of Lucas Linares, a young and very handsome teacher.
It will take no time for Clodine to fall in love with Lucas and she will try hard to win his heart. However, he will prove to be interested in Asai and he will be determined to teach her how to become an actual “lady.” The connection between them will become stronger and Clodine will try by all means to set them apart.
